Hi, I'm Cody — a UX/UI designer driven by my curiosity and a passion for better design. I’ve been a designer for the last 8+ years, with a focus on digital. Early on I worked on a wide range of projects — from email and tradeshow booth design to UI for SaaS applications, even shooting videos and taking company headshots along the way. A few years ago I transitioned into my current role as a UX/UI designer at Civic FCU. As a problem-solver, I learned that what really excites me most is improving digital products and experiences based feedback from users, data insights, and business goals.

I was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, in a blue-collar family where hard work and dedication to craft were part of my identity from a young age. My first outlet was sports, where I learned about teamwork and self-motivation.

In high school, I had to choose a 'major,' and since I enjoyed art classes, I chose Graphic Design and stuck with it all four years. It quickly became my next outlet, and in 2013, I moved to Durham, North Carolina, to attend the Art Institute. I graduated with my BFA in Graphic Design in 2016 as a first-generation college graduate.

In the midst of 2020, I married my high school sweetheart Megan, and we now live in Durham, NC. In 2024 I achieved my proudest accomplishment—becoming a dad to our first son, Rowen. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, watching sports, competing in anything I can, and exploring new places.
